…JUST WAIT…

Publication1cropped400

I know I should eat better and exercise

…just wait…

I know I should drink more water

…just wait…

I know cancer, heart disease, stroke and diabetes is on the rise

…just wait…

To be honest, I feel fine and enjoy living the lifestyle I’m living

…just wait…

I can live with taking medications if necessary in the future

…just wait…

I have a good doctor and trust his/her judgement

…just wait…

I never thought it would really happen to me (cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes)

…just wait…

Cancer: I can’t take the pain of chemotherapy anymore

…just wait…

Heart Disease: I can’t even climb a staircase

…just wait…

Stroke: I can’t drive, I can’t remember…what did I do to deserve this

…just wait…

Diabetes: What do you mean you have to amputate my foot, what do you mean I’m going blind

…just wait…

It’s not that you don’t know these TRUTHS. It’s not that there’s no one to turn to for help. It’s not that better options don’t exist. Apparently, it’s the personal decision to:

…just wait…

and suffer the prolonged agony modern technology provides us to sustain living longer lives without quality and happiness.

Dr. Colter, you’re just saying all this to try to scare me. No, I’ve tried to scare you in the past and I know it can’t be done. Therefore, I’ll:

…just wait…

and sadly listen to the cries for mercy and prayers to heal and anger for the circumstances and confusion in trying to understand, “why me?” This is the path most of you have chosen and this will likely be the results achieved.

…JUST WAIT…

  1. This is so scary and inspiring at the same time. It is true that we don’t realise how badly we have messed up our lifestyle.

    1. Most people do not truly believe their lifestyle impacts their quality of health. Destructive lifestyles often produce few (if any) symptoms in the beginning. It may take 10 or 20 years for the body to lose its ability to compensate, but the symptoms and diseases are simply the END RESULT of long term self harm. As long as people CHOOSE to ignore this advice, they will unfortunately continue to suffer the consequences.

  2. Dr. J., this is strikingly true! A good message to heed going into the holiday season with high levels of stress & excuses to enjoy the food & fanfare, and think about a healthier lifestyle next year! Phew… all in one breath. So thankful I got the “good health is up to me message” years ago! Pray others read this post and commit to do something NOW. Happy Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄 Christine

    1. The first thing people need to do is simply determine their own SELF VALUE. Anyone who truly treasures their own existence doesn’t intentionally cause themselves harm. Correcting one’s MINDSET, therefore, becomes the first step on the road to improving health AND quality living.

    1. Maybe avoiding this mantra will give you better results. You don’t strike me as the one willing to wait for a disastrous outcome. You strike me as one more interested in taking charge and control of one’s life.
