THOSE WHO “CAN’T”……. STILL SUCCEED

Publication1cropped350

.

  1. “I just CAN’T find time to exercise.”

  2. “I just CAN’T eat all those vegetables the doctors say I should.”

  3. “I just CAN’T get away from work.”

  4. “I just CAN’T drink all that water I’m supposed to.”

  5. “I just CAN’T give up smoking.”

  6. “I just CAN’T give up my daily wine/beer.”

  7. “I just CAN’T sleep until I take my prescription medication.”

.

HOW CAN THOSE WHO JUST “CAN’T“……SUCCEED?

.

  • Those who just CAN’T find time to exercise, SUCCEED in experiencing faster degeneration and loss of function.

  • Those who just CAN’T eat all those vegetable doctors say you should, SUCCEED in experiencing higher rates of disease and life altering complications.

  • Those who just CAN’T get away from work, SUCCEED in reducing quality family time and personal leisure time.

  • Those who just CAN’T drink all the water they’re supposed to, SUCCEED in dehydrating their bodies (often without noticeable SYMPTOMS) resulting in heart irregularities, neurodegenerative changes (changes in brain function) and electrolyte imbalances affecting every organ in the body.

  • Those who just CAN’T stop smoking, SUCCEED at achieving reduced lung capacity, damaged lung tissue and increased risk for CANCER.

  • Those who just CAN’T give up their daily wine/beer, SUCCEED at destroying increased quantities of brain cells, SUCCEEDat causing self induced liver damage and SUCCEED at dealing with life’s stresses by reducing one’s ability for cognitive thinking.

  • Those who just CAN’T sleep until they take their prescription medications, SUCCEED at avoiding the UNDERLYING ROOT CAUSES of their disorder.

Maybe this is why so many people PURSUE self destruction;

THEY WANT SO BADLY TO “SUCCEED” IN LIFE!

  1. Good post, Jonathan 🙂
It is more about the will, than about the can’t, as I see it.

    1. The “will” needs an emotional and/or rational reason for change. As one begins to see the larger picture, the answers become clearer. When people begin VALUING their lives, the motivation to correct destructive patterns of behavior begins.

  2. Great post! You only get one body, but some people seem to be hell bent on destroying it.

    1. I believe it is a combination of denial and lack of awareness. We are not properly educated about our individual roles and responsibilities to maintaining quality health. Familial patterns of behavior transfer down from generation to generation. The family environment we’re raised in provides the general pattern we live by (similarly to our approach toward religious beliefs.) Until we open our eyes and move beyond the concept of “this is simply the way life is,” change becomes very difficult.

  4. There are some very successful people out in the world, sadly succeeding in all the wrong ways making loads of excuses and bad choices.

  6. Awesome post! Whenever someone says they dont “have time” for a workout I have to correct them on how they dont *make* time for a workout… I’m always met with an eyeroll !

    1. “Rolling eyes” usually means, you’re right, but the individual doesn’t really want to acknowledge it.
Everyone has the right to live the lifestyle they choose. It only crosses the boundary line (in my opinion) when they’re unwilling or unable to financially PAY FOR the harms caused by their harmful CHOICES.

  7. I totally agree with this article, if one can’t find time to be healthy, then that one is really pursuing self destruction. I love how you creatively presented this post. I am definitely sharing this blog 😀 Thanks for sharing Doc Jonathan 🙂

    1. This was intended to provide a perspective many have never considered. Hopefully it also reinforces essential needs and the importance of integrating these needs into our lifestyles.

  11. That’s me: Those who just “CAN’T“ drink all the water they’re supposed to, “SUCCEED“ in dehydrating their bodies (often without noticeable SYMPTOMS) resulting in heart irregularities, neurodegenerative changes (changes in brain function) and electrolyte imbalances affecting every organ in the body.
My irritation and and candidly I’ll call it embarassment as I feel it, is that I have had a weak bladder from very long. I can pee 5 times in 30 minutes regardless of how much water I drink or drank. The inconvenience and ebarrasment is looking for where to go pee each time and having people look at you suspiciously which I would not have minded if there were even ‘clean’ and public toilets everywhere to begin with. This morning at a bank, when I asked for the rest room, what I was shown too after some not so masked disdain, was a sighing site. I am talking about in my country Cameroon in Africa – and many countries in Africa will share this same statusquo. Sadly once more, I so love water and very rarely drink artificial juice or beer etc – so when home I drink until I literally live near the loo. At night I walk there and back to bed with my eyes closed. Could we say this is a way around my dilemma?

    1. I’m sorry to hear of your dilemma. Have you worked with any professionals to uncover the cause of the weak bladder? This would be the first step I would suggest. I would NOT mask the symptom to solve this condition. I don’t know the underlying mechanism in your case, but thought you might find this website useful for ideas:
