A Few Pictures Explaining Why IN PERSON Doctor Office Visits Are Necessary

Publication2cropped400These pictures shows an IMPORTANT missing component from a PROPER and COMPLETE DIAGNOSIS when a doctor relies on a computer, lab testing and a telephone instead of an IN OFFICE visit. It is known as the HUMAN BEHAVIOR FACTOR!

The next time YOU want a proper diagnosis, take the time to stand in front of a mirror so YOU can see a potentially important part of the answer your doctor may choose to avoid when making his or her diagnosis!

Although this post is DIRECT, it is NOT intended to shame ANYONE. The purpose is to offer a truthful important perspective to help people realize their role in their HEALTH and DISEASE. Without facing this reality head on, our future generations will suffer from continued growing rates of SELF INDUCED DISEASES and PREMATURE DEATHS.

Interesting article, thanks. Nothing beats face to face contact with an expert.

    1. Thank you for your diplomatic compliment. 🙂 This brief article was intended to be quite direct. I write some articles using greater degrees of diplomacy than others. The reason for this is the diversity of personalities and emotions within these personalities. There is no one method that reaches those in need. By writing compassionately in some posts and directly in others, greater populations of people begin HEARING the well intentioned meaning behind the WORDS. My readers know how much I care about helping the world achieve a healthier and happier personal experience in life. Sharing TRUTHS as well as providing potential SOLUTIONS hopefully helps people open their minds to CHANGE if they seek alternative pathways.
Thank you again for taking the time to read and comment on this post. It is always appreciated.

    1. A difficult topic to discuss without ruffling some feathers, but one that needs honest open discussion. The goal is to improve the quality of life; not to tell people how to live their lives. Unless these TRUTHS are shared honestly and openly, further harm will come to future generations.

  3. I’d come see you anyway but many doctors are literally pumping their clients out for the simple office visit fee. It is very sad.

That being said your article is 100% right.

    1. It really becomes the consumer’s responsibility to find doctors that provide health care services that MATCH their NEEDS. As long as the consumer remains tethered to their “network” doctors they limit their own choices. I certainly understand that finances play a role. People, however, might be surprised to find out that many qualified, compassionate, caring doctors are willing to work responsibly with people’s budgets in exchange for gaining compliance and RESULTS that lead to healthier, happier outcomes. This is truly a win-win scenario!

  4. Personal responsibility – that’s where good health starts. Great post, Jonathan. Nothing wrong with being direct about such an important issue.

    1. Thank you Tracey. Finding the “wake up call” button is challenging. Getting a large part of the world to focus on their individual contributions to reducing the growing rates of SELF INDUCED DISEASES is challenging. It doesn’t “feel good” when we point our fingers at ourselves as the underlying culprits (in many cases) for our maladies. The concept of FREEDOM OF CHOICE comes at a great expense that people are unwilling to face.

  5. Great post….own it and make a change….its all to easy to be in denial and let the MD give you another pill to fix the immediate problem, no long term goals….again I am pretty sure that you knew I needed to have a swift kick in the behind….thanks…going in for labs in the morning…kat

    1. Hope the labs turn out well, but more importantly, hope the developing healthier lifestyle is leading to more REALISTIC improvements (that should result in better lab panels!)

  6. Very good use of visuals to help explain a major problem with relying on telemedicine. I think it offers great promise in certain aspects of medicine but as you stated, definitely has limitations in being able to properly diagnose people.

    1. The concept of telemedicine was designed to extend professional health care advice and treatments to areas lacking these services. Unfortunately, “for profit” businesses in the health care industry are designed to focus on their personal interests rather than the consumers. This is NOT isolated to health care. This is the nature of business and growth in the U.S. It just FEELS wrong when we’re willing to subject people to unnecessary treatments that ultimately negatively impact the quality of their lives to drive a businesses value higher.
