Each new day provides an option to experience life from one of two perspectives”
What obstacles WILL I FACE and what will it take to “SURVIVE?“
What opportunities WILL I CREATE to further advance down the path I CHOOSE TO LIVE?
The personal decision to approach life from either of these perspectives comes down to deciding whether life (to a large extent) is controlled by circumstances, or whether the individual (to a large extent) can PROACTIVELY manage life’s daily obstacles taking CONTROL and achieving better outcomes.
It’s not simply viewing whether the glass is half full or half empty, but rather deciding who is going to take responsibility for filling the glass and what substance(s) will be used?
“Living” life defensively on a daily basis requires huge amounts of energy. REACTING to various unwanted and/or unexpected situations causes spontaneous “decision making” designed to “quell storms” rather than prevent recurrences. As life takes on more challenges, the “reservoir” of “spontaneous solutions” dries up.
Under this level of emotional duress, it becomes nearly impossible to follow society’s recommendation to “buck up.” This recommendation requires significant amounts of energy and resources; both of which have been depleted during the attempt to survive the barrage of daily stressful events.
CHOOSING OFFENSE OVER DEFENSE:
Before reaching a point of no return, maybe it’s time to pursue a PATH OF INNOVATION to achieve a desired outcome. It requires a little time and a little strategizing to create a SUBSTANTIVE ACTION PLAN. This plan is FOUNDATIONAL in nature and often require FLEXIBILITY and modification. It will include steps that sometimes FAIL providing LEARNING LESSONS (not to be repeated!) Learning from failure rather than continuing down its path creates a lesson that preserves ENERGY while “righting the course” toward a more SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION. It slowly transforms insecurity and instinctive “survival” reactions into greater CONFIDENCE and VALUEDQUALITATIVE decision making.
Tomorrow is Sunday.
You can either wake up and look at LIFE as:
What obstacles WILL I FACE and what will it take to “SURVIVE?“
OR
What opportunities WILL I CREATE to further advance down the path I CHOOSE TO LIVE?
THE RIGHT ANSWER IS BASED ON WHAT IT TAKES TO ACHIEVE THE LIFE YOU CHOOSE TO LIVE!
Adopt the habit of having a good hearted laugh every time you become irritated or angry. Begin each day with one minute of hearty laughing; this will change the chemistry of your brain and start you off with a positive mental attitude.Napoleon Hill
If you’re ever feeling sorry for yourself, look around until you find someone who is worse off than yourself and start where you stand to help that person. Make this a habit and you will experience one of the great miracles of life: that which you do to or for others, you do to or for yourself.Napoleon Hill

Good health is never achieved through a pill; it is achieved by learning and practicing HABITS that support a healthy body and mind.
I’ve used a few of them and I really can’t make up my mind on which of them I like the most. What is the secret formula for creating success? You need to take part in a contest the most helpful blog online. I found this while on Reddit. Your perspective is beyond refreshing.

We are creatures of habit; we simply need to decide whether our preferences are good healthy habits or life impeding ones.

This is a great example of the proactive vs. reactive approach. I discussed this concept on my recent episode Mindset, Mindfulness and Metabolism. https://getbetternaturally.wordpress.com/2017/07/21/mindset-mindfulness-and-metabolism/
