Would you agree with me that selling a home and moving as a result of a backed up toilet would be an OVER REACTION RESPONSE? Sure, the annoyance/problem would no longer exist, but at what cost?
When it comes to health and disease, do you think it’s possible our health care system magnifies the real danger of some diseases causing the public to experience an OVER REACTION RESPONSE?
NBC reported the measles “OUTBREAK” in 2015 using these words:
“Disease detectives for months raced to contain the highly contagious disease, which surfaced at Disney theme parks in December and spread to a half-dozen U.S. states, Mexico and Canada. The outbreak sickened 147 people in the U.S., including 131 in California. There were no deaths.”
(REFERENCE: NBC NEWS: MEASLES OUTBREAK DECLARED OVER)
Do you think the term “DISEASE DETECTIVES” might have been used to instigate FEAR? Disneyland statistics show (as of 2012) that 44,000 people visit the park EACH DAY. A grand total of 147 people living in the U.S. (out of 44,000 attendees) got sick. 131 people lived in California and 16 people lived in 5 other states. It was reported NO ONE DIED!
A CRY FOR MANDATORY MEASLES VACCINATION WAS REKINDLED BY THIS OUTBREAK. Was this simply another example of an:
OVER REACTION RESPONSE?

The most commonly referenced number of annual DEATHS attributed to the “common cold” is 4500.

Let’s return to the measles mortality and morbidity numbers in the United States in 1920 and just prior to the introduction of the measles vaccine.
In 1920, the United States had 469,924 recorded cases of measles and 7,575 deaths associated with measles. From 1958 to 1962, the U.S. averaged 503,282 cases and 432 deaths associated with measles each year.¹

The measles vaccine wasn’t introduced until 1963.
WHAT CAUSED THE DROP IN DEATH RATE FROM 7,575 ANNUALLY (in 1920) TO 432 ANNUALLY (in 1962?)

In 1960 the population of the United States was 180.7 million.
This means prior to the introduction of the measles vaccine in 1963, the mortality rate percentage caused by this disease was .000239% or

My question is, “why do we fear this disease in the United States?” If 1 in 71,422 die from the “common cold” virus and 1 in 418,287 die from the measles virus (without any vaccine) what OBJECTIVE REASON do we have to FEAR THE MEASLES?
IS IT BECAUSE DOCTORS TELL US TO FEAR IT? BASED ON WHAT FACTUAL EVIDENCE IN THE UNITED STATES?

In the United States, approximately 128,000 people die each year from PROPERLY PRESCRIBED pharmaceutical drugs.² In 2015 the population of the United States was 321.4 million.
This means the mortality rate percentage caused by PROPERLY PRESCRIBED pharmaceutical drugs equaled .031113% or
1 in 2,510
Why then, do we FEAR the MEASLES, yet have no difficulty taking PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONs?
IS IT BECAUSE DOCTORS TELL US NOT TO FEAR MEDICATION? BASED ON WHAT FACTS?
Is it possible, the REAL STORY about measles in the United States has been overblown causing an
OVER REACTION RESPONSE
by our general population?

Would you agree it makes good sense to take a moment to THINK and CONSIDER the TRUTHFUL RISK/BENEFIT analysis to ANY medical procedure before consenting? In this case, if people chose to refuse the measles vaccine, significantly more people would get sick with measles. In general, this could very well be a POSITIVE thing. With such a low risk for death, the measles infection would create REAL IMMUNITY strengthening the immune system against future exposure WITHOUT requiring “booster” injections. Getting “sick” is an IMPORTANT part of HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. We may feel lousy for a short duration of time, but the LONG TERM HEALTH BENEFITS create a stronger, more effective immune system than any artificially stimulated (vaccinated) one. This is why children are encouraged to “play in the dirt.” Exposure to all these different germs strengthens our body’s immune system and maximizes its ability to RECOGNIZE “BAD GERMS” and NATURALLY COMBAT THEM.
Will people die as a result of NOT BEING vaccinated against measles? YES. Will people die as a result of BEING vaccinated against measles? YES. Unfortunately, there will always be a small percentage of people with compromised health that will succumb to this disease or complications resulting from the vaccine itself. The number of deaths for those UNVACCINATED, in the United States however, is MINUSCULE as demonstrated by the statistics above. Have you considered the SIGNIFICANTLY higher percentage of HEALTHIER PEOPLE dying from PROPERLY PRESCRIBED medications?

IF OUR MEDICAL PROFESSION ADAMANTLY SUPPORTS THE NEED FOR A VACCINE THAT MAY SAVE 1 IN 418,287 LIVES IN THE U.S.A., HOW CAN THEY JUSTIFY THE USE OF PROPERLY PRESCRIBED PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS THAT KILL 1 IN 2,510?

I present these statistical values to show an HONEST UNBIASED presentation to the reality of DISEASE and the treatment options offered (AND MANDATED) in the United States. The chances of DEATH FROM MEASLES is a low probability outcome, yet fear is created by our medical profession and delivered (over and over again) by our media whose advertising revenue is heavily generated by the pharmaceutical industry. Why do you think you see so many drug commercials on TV? The solution to this dilemma is to FACT CHECK our doctors regarding their recommendations using credible sources without clear conflicts of interest.
You may feel this isn’t your responsibility. It is the health care industry, the pharmaceutical industry and the government regulatory industry’s responsibility. You’re right! However, IT’S YOUR LIFE AND YOUR FAMILY’S LIFE WE’RE TALKING ABOUT. If the industries don’t do their job correctly, they still profit from their services and products. Unfortunately, YOU and YOUR FAMILY get to suffer the consequences of their INCOMPETENCE AND/OR GREED (in many cases.)

This has unfortunately resulted in countless unnecessary INJURIES and MONETARY COMPENSATION as reported by the Department of Justice.³ Do you think the average consumer is made aware of this information? Instead of sharing these TRUTHS, we are assured by our doctors that their treatment recommendations are ALWAYS in “our best interest.”)

Always a pleasure. Don’t you wonder how many people consider the HEALTH BENEFITS of “germ” exposure. People do not realize the symbiotic relationship we have with “germs” (in many cases) and FEAR the harm they’re believed to cause. The FEAR should be based on our own weakened IMMUNE SYSTEMS (rather than “germ” phobia) and their inability to perform as intended as a result of our continuing destructive lifestyle patterns of behavior.

I totally agree. Having personal bad experiences with vaccines I chose not to immunize any of my kids. Result? They all eventually got chicken pox (very mild) German measles (so mild I didn’t know the first ones had it!) and measles. The measles was a bit more serious as the older ones contracted it in their teens (the young ones only had a day in bed) even so it was over in a week or so with no ill effects.
I believe the vast reductions in more serious diseases is mostly due to vastly improved health and living conditions rather than vaccines (though the vaccines may have helped a little). This belief is based on stats similar to those you noted.
I believe folks should be far more aware and informed of the dangers of vaccination especially on the scale prescribed in the US. A strong immune system is to be preferred in most cases.

I so appreciate when people like yourself share REAL, HONEST stories/experiences that prove the validity in my writing to help people see TRUTHS that continue to be denied by our health care profession. It shows an UNBIASED reality proving that disease is NOT always as dangerous as our doctors insist and that treatments are NOT limited to pharmaceutical answers. They are certainly part of the equation, but often a POOR FIRST CHOICE in non acute and non critical cases.

great post….I keep repeating that…but really I love how you break it all down so its easy to read and understand…..and I agree its time everyone takes control of themselves and work with there MD for a better outcome….I wish the media would tone it down sometimes on certain items they air…but its there job to get ratings so the more outrageous the story the more who tune in for the next update….kat

If it “makes good sense” to the average consumer, they are more likely to listen. Unveil a whole lot of “hidden” truths and they begin to listen more intently. Once their attention is gained, gently, convince them to challenge their long term beliefs and greater uncertainty about their long term convictions becomes evident. Only at this point will people truly consider CHANGE. This is why patience and persistence is so important.

I agree….sometimes patience just isn’t in my vocabulary…LOL but I do try….I believe in plant the seed and watch it grow…..doesn’t always work but when it does its wonderful to watch…

When I visited the US, I was ‘shocked’ at the pervasiveness of adverts for drugs, vaccines and consultations just everywhere ; I don’t know, but I sometimes think I am better off learning all of this now coming from a country where we aren’t yet on that scale of ‘hundreds of vaccins – with lots of them mandatory’, all kinds of meds meds meds for pretty much everything and processed food advertised as ‘yummy, cool etc’. My sibling leaves there and is in the medical profession, when I had mumps, they said oh you didn’t take so and so vaccin please make sure your boys do… and they prescribed meds and I was like oh my thank you but now… And now I keep finding good reasons why I need to to double and tripple check any information I get and recommendation from the ‘public health system’. People unwilling to learn the TRUTH would think your approach to health is “dangerous.” People have been “sold” a one sided view on health and disease and are not interested in taking responsibility to see if other (and possibly) better and more accurate TRUTH’S exist.
Is the lawyer who wins a case in court “right” or did they simply present a more convincing argument? This same situation exists in health care with one very LARGE DIFFERENCE. Opposing medical views are SUPPRESSED from the public. This helps CONTROL the influence that doctors, pharmaceutical industries and government agencies maintain over society. I do NOT believe these entities are seeking to intentionally harm society, however, I do believe they ARE willing to allow harm to occur if it improves their financial bottom line.
