DO DOCTORS HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR?

With so much pain, anger, fear and adversarial controversy reported on a daily basis, I thought an attempt at humor might lighten up the hearts and minds of people (for at least the duration of time required to peek at this post.) Please keep in mind, I was a practicing physician educated by a system requiring the exorcism of ALL HUMOR prior to receiving my diploma.

Well, here goes!

FOR JUST A MOMENT DID I BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE?

    1. Even I have to lighten up the material every now and then. I just couldn’t resist poking a little fun at the frenzy of the news media.

      Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    1. Glad you enjoyed it. Nice to know my formal education and indoctrination didn’t PERMANENTLY remove all sense of humor from my mind! 😀
      Have a great weekend.

    1. Just when I thought I had a creative moment, you provide proof that God was (and has ALWAYS been) a minimum of one step ahead of me. 🙂 Glad to know I’m following the right path!

  9. While med school is not the only “system requiring the exorcism of ALL HUMOR” of those who move thru it, med school’s length and rigor may make it one of the more successful at that. But not 100% successful, as this post demonstrates so delightfully.

If DT used Mennen Unscented rather than Ban Regular, I might even reconsider my opposition to 99.9% of what he has done. 🙂

    1. You know me…I’m a positive thinker. Glad to see you support 1/10 of our current President’s platform. Hopefully in time (for all of us) this number improves demonstrating a better path for a majority of our country’s inhabitants (not necessarily just citizens.)

Many people demonstrate real hatred for the man, but hoping he fails only creates further problems for all of us. Regardless of who leads our country, we should always hope they SUCCEED! (This doesn’t, however, mean we have to agree with every policy decision!)

Glad to see you again. Hope you have been well.

      1. The really tiny 0.1% I agree with is the choice of Mattis to run DoD. Wish I could hope for DT’s overall success while disagreeing with this or that. But concern about thinly veiled fascism is not — repeat, NOT — alarmist (as I have explained in various posts).

        1. Although I’m not convinced President Trump is a fascist, I’ll patiently wait to see what policies are enacted. We don’t have to “like” the man or his Neanderthal level or oratory skill. If new policy design safeguards our country while providing REAL OPPORTUNITIES for those without resources AND REAL OPPORTUNITIES for those with resources, our President will have fulfilled a large part of his obligation. His mouth will continue to get him in trouble throughout his term. Those who can’t get beyond his egocentric attitude will have difficulty objectively evaluating his performance. In my opinion, what he says is not nearly as important as what is eventually legislated and/or decreed through executive order. If our country is capable of moving forward achieving REAL positive gains I will continue to pinch my nose (to avoid the “distasteful” smell) while proudly watching a prosperous nation continue to grow (whether or not it’s in spite of the man.)

          1. On 2016-11-09, I dutifully resolved to keep an open mind and see if he could surprise everybody by growing into the job. His ACTIONS, not his STYLE, have slammed my mind shut every bit as firmly as he is trying to slam shut the “golden door” in the Emma Lazarus poem.

What has already been decreed thru numerous executive orders (and cabinet choices and …) is despicable. I will not patiently wait until it is too late.
