WHY DOES THE TRUTH TAKE 30-40 YEARS TO DISCOVER?

PCB’s

PCB history is not pretty. The manufacturers and major users of PCB’s knew by the 1930s and 1940s that PCB’s caused serious health problems in their workers, and doctors advised them that other effects could be occurring as well.  But this did not stop industries from producing and using PCBs, or from releasing PCBs into our environment, contaminating our public waterways, air, croplands, and wildlife. It appears from this PCB history that several companies including MONSANTO also deliberately misled workers, customers, regulators and the public FOR MANY DECADES, allowing the PCB problem to spread and become much worse. DDT

In 1944, MONSANTO among 15 other companies started manufacturing DDT as a pesticide for killing weeds. Despite all the claims of Monsanto that DDT was safe, the research in 1970s confirmed that DDT was toxic and due to public pressure DDT was banned in 1972. (Ref: DDT Toxicity)

Soon after DDTs were banned, MONSANTO developed another toxic pesticide called Roundup (even more toxic than DDT). It was introduced to the market in 1974. The active ingredient in Roundup is glyphosate used for killing weeds and roots. Glyphosate has been linked to birth defects, reproduction failure and deformities in animal laboratories. Many concerned scientific community and researchers among them Dr. Huber have warned the officials about toxicity of Roundup.

In his letter Dr Huber writes “For the past 40 years, I have been a scientist in the professional and military agencies that evaluate and prepare for natural and man made biological threats, including germ warfare and disease outbreaks. Based on this experience, I believe the threat we are facing from this pathogen is unique and of a high risk status. In layman’s terms, it should be treated as an emergency.” (Ref: Toxicity of Roundup)

MONSANTO’S American dream to genetically modify our seeds and food supply has turned into a nightmare for everyone including farmers, consumers and US economy.

Although many independent studies of concerned scientists have linked GMOs to obesity, infertility and cancer, Monsanto has been able to fully dominate and control our seeds and food supply.

GMOs have also caused 99% loss in export of US agricultural products to Europe and according to the report by Washington State University, the use of pesticides have grown by 404 million pounds from the time they were introduced in 1996 through 2011. (Ref: GMO’s Toxic Threats)

Rats and tumorsBovine Growth Hormone (rBGH)

The Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH) is injected to livestock for faster growth and production of more milk. Human beings are exposed to rBGH growth hormones and antibiotics when they consume meat or dairy of livestock that are injected with hormones. Based on many studies rBGH growth hormones are related to breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. Hormones are also related to a wave of chronic diseases including colon cancer, diabetes, heart diseases and obesity. Both European Union and Canada have banned the use of growth hormones in livestock. (Ref: Bovine Growth Hormone Dangers)

.

Many of us know the expression, “if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, it’s probably a duck.” It would INITIALLY be foolish to assume otherwise. When viewing a company like Monsanto as well as other major players including Dow Chemical, Pfizer, Bayer, Chevron, Phillip Morris, etc…) that have demonstrated a history of placing their company’s financial interests ahead of human safety, it would seem foolish to trust their lack of integrity and honesty in the safety claims they continue to emphatically express.

.

It has taken 30-40 years to reverse policies regarding the manufacturing and distribution of products and chemicals that for decades has threatened and damaged the health of our population.

…..and then a new product or chemical is introduced to replace the banned one with the assurance of safety and efficacy. Who approves the new products or chemicals these big industries introduce? The following graph shows the extent of infiltration MONSANTO (alone) has had on our government.

biotech-government-officials

Many people like to call this “conspiracy thinking,” but the fact is it’s just “good business sense!”

Unfortunately “good business sense” is likely costing many consumers their LIVES.

QUESTION:

WHAT CAN WE DO AS INDIVIDUALS TO PROTECT OURSELVES FROM THESE POTENTIAL HARMS?

ANSWER:

CHOOSE ON THE SIDE OF SAFETY!

  • PURCHASE REAL FOOD ORGANICALLY GROWN! THIS MEANS WITHOUT HERBICIDES, PESTICIDES, FUNGICIDES, ETC…

  • PURCHASE ORGANIC MEAT PRODUCTS GRASS FED RATHER THAN GRAIN FED WITHOUT HORMONES AND ANTIBIOTICS.

  • PURCHASE DAIRY PRODUCTS WITHOUT HORMONES AND ANTIBIOTICS.

Must be wait another 30-40 years before ROUNDUP, GMO FOODS, BOVINE GROWTH HORMONES, etc… are banned before avoiding these DANGERS! History has PROVEN to repeat itself; the result of which has demonstrated the consumer blindly following along suffering the consequences including disease and death. Should the individual continue to place his or her own life in danger to ensure adequate profits of these BIG COMPANIES?

THE CONSUMER MUST STOP FINANCING THESE ATROCITIES BY REFUSING TO PURCHASE THESE PRODUCTS.

.

Let’s pretend my analysis is wrong for a moment; WHAT DETRIMENT WOULD COME TO THE CONSUMER  if they followed my advice and purchased quality healthy food grown or raised in a natural environment? Now, let’s pretend I’m right; WHAT DETRIMENT WOULD COME TO THE CONSUMER if they continued to be the recipients of BIG BUSINESS deception? UNNECESSARY DISEASE AND DEATH?

IS IT REALLY WORTH WAITING 30-40 YEARS TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES ONLY TO LEARN THE TRUTH THEN!

    1. As long as we, the consumers, are willing to repeat the same mistakes over and over, Big Industry will gladly accept our financial contributions to their wealth. It doesn’t require groups to organize and compete with Big Business; it requires the individual to care about enough about THEMSELF to purchase what is in THEIR OWN BEST INTEREST. This is NOT a difficult task.

  2. In answer to the subject question – it takes that long because a generation must pass before the next one can fix the problem.

    1. Sorry Marcus, your comment wound up in my spam folder.
I guess the big question is, “if the next generation fixes the “old” problem, why does the next generation repeat the previous generation’s SAME MISTAKES?

      1. They don’t all … there are people aware this generation of healthy eating habits – and will be more next generation. It just takes time, I suppose.

  4. The consumers that are willing and able should follow the advice on purchasing higher quality products:) Hopefully they can outweigh the population that is not able to purchase organic. Sadly, I have clients that receive $50 in food stamps or less for the month! It can be stretched for one person maybe, but not for more than that:( Policies need to change ASAP!

    1. Community gardening becomes an asset for a population with limited resources. There is always a way; we simply need to take the time and become creative.

        1. There are many other creative ideas as well. When I hear people say, “it’s just too difficult” I truly believe they mean, “I’m just not worth the effort!”

          1. I do get that. There are many ideas that we can provide, but it is ultimately up to them to make it happen:)

As i read this post I am for the first time eating organic chicken that Ive just made for dinner and I have to say I really can’t believe how much better it taste!! makes me feel like I was poisoning myself for so many years because well I was! I use white vinegar to kill weeds its super cheap and works really good..years of having well water made me realize when you use all those scary chemicals there are so many ways they could come back to haunt you…not worth the damage to your body or the environment just to have a nice lawn. Most of us Jonathan are taking steps to better our lives and truly with you right here to help guide us how can we lose?! 🙂

    1. Thank you for all your kind words. Keep sharing your tips with the world. I’m sure very few people have ever considered using white vinegar in place of chemical weed killers. Each and every small change accumulates over time the same way a small snowball accumulates into snow boulders.

        1. …because advertisers and marketers insist on complicating the issues. They “sell” the public on needing more than they do!

It outrageous how “Greed” can motivate these companies to poison millions of people & get away with it! Taking short-cuts not caring about the effects on mankind…it is unacceptable.

    1. Only if the public wakes up to this RECURRING REALITY! Each individual has a choice to use or avoid products and services. Often, choosing unhealthy is done for convenience. In the end the disease and dysfunction people are forced to live with isn’t so convenient!

    1. Since we continue to repeat the same mistakes, I question how “scary” it really is to the public?
